Welcome to the stats.fm Support Centre
We recently identified a data security incident involving our third-party customer support system which may have impacted approximately 600 users. The information accessed includes email addresses, support inquiry content, and, potentially, app store receipts.
Importantly, no password information was compromised, and no payment information such as credit card or bank details was leaked. We swiftly resolved the issue upon discovery and have taken additional steps to enhance our security measures.
All affected users have been contacted with additional information and recommendations. We want to emphasize that this breach was limited to our third-party support system and did not impact the core stats.fm platform.
We are committed to maintaining the security and privacy of our users' information and are taking all necessary measures to prevent such incidents in the future. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to our support team at support@stats.fm.
Thank you for your understanding and continued trust.
Updated: 13 January 2025
We are aware of the ongoing catalog issues within stats.fm, and we want to provide an update on the progress we’ve made to resolve these problems.
Catalog v2 Launch Update: As many of you are aware, we launched Catalog v2 on December 25. Since then, we’ve been closely monitoring its performance and addressing production issues. We are pleased to report that the system is now stable and functioning as expected. With this stability in place, our focus has shifted toward resolving existing data issues.
Progress We’ve Made:
- Duplicate Artists: We have already resolved issues with duplicate artist entries for major artists like Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Radiohead and many more.
- Stream Merging: All duplicate streams will be automatically merged, simplifying your experience and ensuring more accurate tracking of your activity.
While we’re making progress, we understand that many of you are still experiencing issues with missing or incorrect data. Some errors you might still be experiencing are:
- Missing/duplicate artists in your artists
- Artists being added to random tracks
- Duplicate tracks that are splitting your play counts
- Tracks being attributed to incorrect or compilation albums
- DasV replacing tracks
- Missing tracks in your top tracks or recently played tracks
- Streams that were counted before that are not being counted anymore
Please note that artists and labels are in no way responsible for the current catalog errors. If you are experiencing issues, please be in contact with our support team, and not the artists and labels themselves.
What You Need to Know:
- There is no need to re-upload your data; the process of fixing existing data is ongoing.
- None of your data is lost; it just hasn’t been displayed correctly in some cases. We are working diligently to restore everything.
Thank You for Your Patience: We deeply appreciate your continued support and feedback. It has been invaluable in helping us identify and address these issues. The product team’s top priority is setting up the catalog for long-term success, and we are committed to providing further updates as we move forward.
